I really had no idea what to expect going to Bangladesh. Despite conflicting reports from the international media regarding safety we decided to travel there and get a first hand glimpse of this relatively unknown nation. What I discovered was a country of beautiful people who were thoughtful, respectful, and literally willing to give you the shirt off their back despite (in many cases) rampant poverty. To say that there are not major socioeconomic issues in Bangladesh would simply be untrue, but for my part this country stole a piece of my heart and I will be forever grateful to everyone I met there.
